Visiting hours are every day from 9 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 8 pm.
If you can't get to the facility during visiting hours, we may be able to arrange another time for you to visit. Talk to the staff in charge to see what we can do.

Our services
The Sub-Acute Care Unit (SACU) offers a 48-bed care and rehabilitation facility located at Infinite Care Edge Hill Orchards Lodge.
We care for older people and those needing rehabilitation, such as patients recovering from a stroke or a hip operation. It is also an enabling environment for the care of people living with dementia.
SACU acts as an external ward of the Cairns Hospital and has the full support of nurses, allied health professionals and specialist doctors on site covering the facility 24/7. It is close to the hospital if patients require any emergency care.

Parking
There is a free visitor parking area at the front entrance to SACU.
Public transport
You can catch a bus that will drop you on Jensen Street which is about 450m from the entrance.
You can also get a taxi to and from the facility.

There's an undercover drop off zone at the front entrance of SACU.
